Could you apply for a Long Covid community grant?
Our Long Covid project
We have been working in collaboration with Voluntary Action Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals on a Long Covid project. We want to understand the experiences of people living with Long Covid in the city, and influence the support pathway for others living with the condition.
The Long Covid community grants
We have developed a small grants scheme which will support communities to understand the experiences and impact of Long Covid and develop useful information resources.
Grants of between £1000 and £5000 are available.
This programme is open to not for profit, third sector, voluntary or community groups who:
- Are based in Sheffield
- Work with people from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic groups and/or with those with lower socio-economic means
- Have a bank/building society account in the name of the group
Groups can access grants to help them take part in identifying, developing, and sharing information and resources about Long Covid both in and for their communities.
This might include:
- Collecting information about the impact of Long Covid in your community.
- Producing the resources that you have identified your community needs.
- Delivering the resources out to your community.
Apply for a grant
We held a launch event on Tuesday 14th March, which included an information session about Long Covid, and going through the grants process.

Looking for information about Long Covid in the meantime?
In response to enquiries from the public, and conversations with community groups, last year we produced a Long Covid information leaflet. This has been used by information and signposting staff in Sheffield to help members of the public find out about the available support. You may wish to share this with your communities.
