Improving physical health for people with severe mental illness, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder

A new project has begun to see what we can collectively to do to improve the health of people in Sheffield with severe mental illness, learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder.

Studies show that people with severe mental illness, learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder have an average life expectancy of up to 20 years less than the population as a whole.

Lots of good work happens in the city to address this and organisers of this new project want to make sure all this activity is co-ordinated with everyone working towards providing the best healthcare and opportunities for a healthy life to all.

The project will launch at a free event:

St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane

Tuesday 4th December, 9am-12.30pm
