General Osteopathic Council’s Patient and Public Partnership Group seeks new members

Would you like to be involved in developing information for patients and the public?

Are you interested in standards of osteopathic practice?

The General Osteopathic Council is keen to develop a Patient and Public Partnership Group to engage with patients and the public on osteopathic care.

They have established a patient partnership group made up of individuals who have experience of osteopathy (good and bad) and those who have no experience.

They are now at a stage where the group does need to be more geographically representative of the whole of the UK and are therefore looking for new members.

It works predominantly remotely, but also meets face-to-face on occasions, for example in focus groups. Refreshments and reasonable expenses are covered.

What is the the General Osteopathic Council?

We are the regulator for osteopathy in the UK. We work with the public and osteopathic profession to promote patient safety by registering qualified professionals, and setting, maintaining and developing standards of osteopathic
practice and conduct.
