Free event for parents of children with Special Educational Needs
What is the event?
Work is happening in the city to make care and support better for children with Special Educational Needs and their families. By coming to our event, you can tell us what you think about the care and support you've received and how it could be better. This includes any support you got when your child's additional needs were first noticed, as well as assessments, treatments, support in school or other activities.
As well as sharing your feedback, the event is a way to learn about different services and support options - we will have information stalls where people from different organisations (charities and NHS) can tell you about their work.
We also have activities on offer so you can enjoy the day and talk with other parents, including crafts, tea tasting, henna tattooing, hand massage and a children's play corner. Snacks and lunch will also be provided.
Who is the event for?
This is a free event for parents who live in Burngreave and the surrounding areas, and who have a child with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND).
We will have interpreters for speakers of Arabic, Punjabi, and Slovak.
