We have a new way to share the issues and experiences you tell us. We've started to produce a monthly briefing, highlighting some of the key issues impacting people in Sheffield.
Today we are publishing four interviews with local people, who discuss their own thoughts and experiences regarding the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on People of Colour, and the reports from Public Health England addressing this disparity.
At the moment, we cannot visit care homes to hear from residents directly due to the covid-19 outbreak, but it’s more important than ever that we hear about people’s experience of living in residential or nursing care.
COVID-19 may have cut Charlotte’s placement short, it’ll certainly make it memorable but we were determined to end on a high note. During the start of 2020 Healthwatch Sheffield has been supporting Charlotte, a Sheffield Hallam University student.

10 local people were nominated to take part in an exciting collaborative project between Healthwatch Sheffield and photography group Archive Sheffield.
This August we’re celebrating people who are inspired to make life better for others. They will be featured in a photography exhibition to showcase their amazing work.
We are looking for two new members of Healthwatch Sheffield’s Strategic Advisory Group. These volunteers help to shape and guide our work, and are an important part of our team.
In 2016-2018, we were involved in a project called the Perfect Patient Pathway. This was an NHS England Wave 1 Test Bed site involving 28 partners spanning across health, social care, education, technology and voluntary sector organisations.
